Residence Homestead Exemption

The homestead exemption remains the easiest way to reduce your property taxes by as much as 20%. A homestead can be a separate structure, condominium, or a manufactured home located on owned or leased land, as long as the individual living in the home owns it.

Disabled Veterans or Survivor’s Exemption

Exemption for disabled veterans who have received a disability rating less than 100% from a qualifying agency. Disabled veterans who have a rating of 100% should use the General Residential Homestead Application (50-114).

Notice of Protest

A Notice of Protest informs the Appraisal Review Board of the property owner’s intent to appeal a decision made by the appraisal district. This form is required when requesting an informal conference and/or formal hearing with the ARB.

Withdrawal of Protest

A request filed to withdraw an open appeal and cancel any further proceedings of protest.

Rendition of Business Personal Property

Every business in Fort Bend County is required by law to provide a list of all personal property owned by the business and used for the production of income.

Property owners can designate a third party to act as the owner’s agent in property tax matters.

Revocation of Agent

Property owners can remove a third party’s permission to act as the owner’s agent in property tax matters.

The public may request information, upon receiving request it is reviewed to determine if the information is deemed public.

Property owners may update the address they wish to receive their correspondence at.
