Deputy Chief Appraiser

Oversee the appraisal functions and offices for the central appraisal district. This individual will be responsible for ensuring all appraisal work (in-house and by contract appraisal firms) is completed timely and in compliance with the requirements prescribed by the Texas Property Tax Code, USPAP and all other relevant laws, rules, regulations and guidelines.

Applications Developer

As FBCAD’s Applications Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing and maintaining software solutions to support the district’s property appraisal and taxation processes. Residential Appraiser

The purpose of this position is the appraisal of property in the appraisal district asassigned by the residential supervisor. Performs functions and activities associated with the appraisal of residential properties including inspection, data collection, and application of appropriate valuation approaches and techniques.

Director of Special Projects

Become FBCAD’s Director of Special Projects, where you’ll collaborate with the Chief Appraiser to drive forward initiatives aimed at enhancing the performance of the appraisal district. In this pivotal role, you’ll wield substantial authority and enjoy considerable autonomy, working seamlessly across various teams and functions. As a key leader, you’ll engage closely with senior management, department heads, cross-functional teams, and occasionally the Board of Directors to discern, prioritize, and implement special projects that align with our company’s strategic objectives.

Taxpayer Liaison Officer

We are seeking a skilled individual to establish effective communication channels between the public and our district, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy at all times. In this role, you will offer technical support and information to property owners and the general public, verbally and in writing, covering various facets of the Texas Property Tax Code. You’ll also engage with members of the public concerning complaints, investigations, and reporting matters, while fulfilling additional responsibilities as mandated by the Texas Legislature.

ARB Associate

Join our team in a clerical capacity where you’ll handle various administrative tasks including data entry, filing, correspondence, record upkeep, and scanning for the ARB. Your seasonal role will also involve engaging with property owners and the public in a friendly, courteous manner. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for completing any other tasks and assignments as delegated.

Communications & Outreach Associate

Our vibrant Communications & Outreach Associate will have a mission is to bring a ray of positivity to customer interactions, both in person and over the phone. They’ll be a go-to expert, ready to assist with any questions about the appraisal and property tax system, always ensuring a professional and courteous experience.

District Office Associate

This seasonal role entails supporting multiple departments within the appraisal district by aiding in their day-to-day operations, including tasks such as data entry, filing, maintaining records, and scanning documents.

Commercial Appraiser IV

This staff member is responsible for the appraisal of commercial property within Fort Bend County as assigned by the commercial supervisor. Duties include inspection, data collection, analysis, and application of appropriate valuation approaches and techniques.

Office Associate

This seasonal member will assist in our Communications & Outreach Department, focusing on customer service by answering questions from the public via face-to-face, phone and email interactions.

GIS Technician

This staff member will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of cadastral maps, which will assist in our valuation procedures including providing mapping, data and record analysis. Our new tech will report to the Director of GIS for assignments and projects.

Commercial Arbitration Appraiser

The purpose of this position is to perform appraisal review of commercial property in the appraisal district in which a Chapter 41A arbitration has been filed; negotiate settlements of disputes in arbitration while attending and arguing arbitration hearings.
