Welcome to the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District!

We’re working hard to bring new features and enhancements to our organization to make your interactions with us as efficient and productive as possible.

Whether you’re here to apply for an exemption, review your property information and value, file a protest, or engage with any of the other services we provide, our goal is to provide you with excellent and dependable service.

The Texas property tax system can seem complicated. We want to help you understand the district’s role in the system and your rights when interacting with us. We’re required by law to appraise property at full market value; however, you have a right to contest that value. We’re working to make the appeal process as streamlined as possible.

Our website now offers more online solutions than ever before. We know you’re busy, so we’ve endeavored to provide “E-services” for most of our essential functions, facilitating quick communications and eliminating the need to visit us in person. There you can also find maps, forms, explainer videos, and many other helpful items.

For those property owners who prefer to visit us in person, we’ve worked to make our lobby welcoming and helpful. We’re happy to see you!
