Thank you for your interest in serving on the Fort Bend Appraisal Review Board. At this time all positions for 2024 have been appointed by the District Court Judge. Applications that are submitted will be held for future appointment consideration. Application review will begin after July 1, 2024 for terms beginning on January 1, 2025.
We’re seeking community-oriented citizens from assorted backgrounds and experience—presenting good moral character with motivation for participation. Prior involvement in Finance, Accounting and Leadership is a bonus.
Testimony, Review and Resolution
The (ARB) Appraisal Review Board is a neutral and independent body of citizens who reside in Fort Bend County.
ARB Members serve on a panel of either single or three members—which listens to testimony, reviews evidence and presides over property disputes between property owners and (FBCAD) Fort Bend Central Appraisal District.
The Appraisal Review Board provides a resolution based on the established property laws of Texas.
Appointment & Service Term
ARB Members are appointed by the county administrative judge.
Members are considered part-time seasonal contractors—compensated for training, meetings, and hearings.
Service length can be up to (3) terms of two-years.
The Fort Bend ARB is interested in you if you meet the following requirements:
- Fort Bend County Resident (Minimum of Two Years)
- Available for uninterrupted appearance each term for hearing season (May – July)
