Virtual ARB Hearings
The ARB (Appraisal Review Board) has elected to utilize Zoom to conduct virtual ARB hearings.

- To appear by telephone conference call or video conference, you must provide the following to the ARB before the hearing:
- (1) written notice at least 10 days before the hearing (5 days if you are a property owner who has not designated an agent under Tax Code Section 1.111) that you want a telephone conference call or videoconference hearing (if you have not done so already); and
- (2) a written affidavit with your evidence. (You may use Comptroller Form 50-283.)

- If you do not submit a request for telephone conference call or videoconference at least 10 days before the hearing (5 days if you are a property owner who has not designated an agent), please prepare to appear in person at 2801 BF Terry BLVD Rosenberg, TX 77471 or via written affidavit.
- Participants are not allowed to share their screen during videoconference hearings as all evidence must be provided prior to the hearing with a notarized Property Owner’s Affidavit of Evidence — Form 50-283. To upload, Share Notarized Affidavit >
- Only one participant will be transferred per hearing, as it is the property owner/representative’s responsibility to provide connection for other participants.
- If an interpreter is needed, it will be up to the property owner/representative to provide one.
- The Appraisal Review Board is not responsible for technical issues related to the use of or performance of the Zoom application. If you need technical assistance with Zoom, please contact Zoom customer service. It is recommended that you become familiar with the Zoom application prior to logging in for your virtual hearing.
At least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled hearing, click on the link or scan the QR code provided on your ARB formal hearing notice to check in for your virtual hearing.
- On the welcome page select Get Started.
- Step 1: Select whether you are a Property Owner or a Property Tax Consultant.
- Step 2: Select Videoconference or Teleconference
- Step 2b: If selecting Videoconference, on the next page please select Virtual
- Step 3: Select Join Waitlist
- Step 4: Please provide all requested information and then select Continue.
- Step 5: Verify all information entered is correct and select Confirm.
- You are now checked in and this page will provide updates on the status of your hearing. You will also receive a text message and/or an email with this information as well.
A.) Teleconference Hearings
- Once you are notified via the status updates that your hearing room is available, please standby for a telephone call at the number you entered in the Qless check in system.
B.) Videoconference Hearings
- Once you are notified via the text and email status updates that your hearing room is available, click on the link to join the Zoom meeting. You may join via your smartphone, computer, or tablet.
1. Welcome To The Meeting
- A welcome screen will appear once you are admitted into the meeting.
2. Virtual Lobby
- You will enter a virtual lobby
- Locate the setting to rename yourself in the Participants menu. Click the three dots next to your name and select rename.
- Ensure your Zoom name matches your Qless name.
- Without this information, the ARB virtual host will be unable to proceed.
3. Confirmation & Queue
- You will wait in the virtual lobby until your hearing is ready to begin.
- You will receive status updates in Qless when your room is available
4. Video Conference Hearing Begins
- Once your hearing room becomes available, you will need to accept the breakout room invitation sent by the host. Your ARB hearing will begin once you have accepted the breakout room invitation.
