FBCAD Mails Out Property Tax Transparency Postcards to Property Owners

FORT BEND — The Fort Bend Central Appraisal District (FBCAD) has mailed an informational postcard to every property owner in the county in advance of the upcoming tax rate adoption season.
The postcard encourages property owners to visit www.fortbendtax.org, a property tax transparency website created to provide information about the adoption of local tax rates. On the site, property owners can learn more about the 2021 tax rate adoption process and see information on each of the entities who levy a property tax on their property. The site also contains the definitions for the various rates, last year’s tax rate data, and the dates and locations for tax rate adoption hearings…
