FORT BEND, TX – The Fort Bend Central Appraisal District (FBCAD) is a 2022 recipient of the Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration (CEAA) from the International Association of Assessment Officers (IAAO); the nonprofit, educational, and internationally recognized research association for government assessment officials. IAAO is the preeminent authority on assessment administration in North America. They are the premier organization that can independently and objectively determine whether an assessment jurisdiction or appraisal district is meeting standards and best practices.
The CEAA recognizes governmental units involved with appraisal and assessment that integrate best practices in the workplace. The challenging, 13-part review encompassed every facet of the FBCAD’s appraisal process from appraisal methodology and valuation procedures to value defense, communications, and taxpayer assistance. Recognition from IAAO through a Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration is the highest professional honor an assessment jurisdiction can obtain.
